Which makes me really sad, because I did this one thing that I was really proud of and then the main character got stolen a few times so I had to delete all of my art of that character...

Yeah, people are just either greedy or jealous some times. Once I start my art career and become more well known, I would later share them as long as I have some kind of copyright on them.
