Description
Barry looked and acted tough, but deep inside he wanted to sing, dance and paint pretty pictures of daffodils.Background character for a bigger painting.

Actually, I was sitting here thinking - hey! I know that guy! I think he owes me money!
But actually that is his second cousin Larry. Larry still has both his horns. Barry grew remorseful after being dumped by a half-elf lopped off his horn and mailed it to her, Vincent Van Gogh style.

The lower skull of Barry's ornamental necklace appears to have a somewhat quizzical expression... like "What the...?" I imagine if I were in a similar situation I'd be like "What the...?" too.
Obviously the spikes are a metaphor of Barry's attempt to distance himself from reality in favor of his inner dream... and they can hurt reality really, really, bad.
