Illustration I did last year for a Captain Stone comic project by the amazing - and Liam is launching it at this years San Diego comic con.I'm sure this scene makes sense if you read the comic... though I'm not sure Liam mentions the CARROT OF DOOM, the awesome VEGETABLE of the APOCALYPSE, in the narrative, more's the pity.... but if you read this, you know that it's there.

Very cool. I didn't realise that Liam Sharp had an account here. I used to really like his old 2000AD work. Brilliant work by yourself as always too!!!!

what is really great about the picture are that they all have different skintones. looks very realistic!

Thanks! I really try to avoid that 'every character looks the same' trap and more than just hair cut, eye colour and facial shape, variations in height and skin colour is something I try to be aware of. I envisaged the woman in red being much paler when I was first sketching it up - wasnt quite as successful at it in the end. Something to work on I guess!

I was very fortunate to find a picture where the toes matched my sketch very closely and used them as reference. Feet can be tricky and I have been known to take reference shots of my own feet at times. Not sure how she'd feel about having my feet though

Feet and hands are the bane of me. Need to study and study and study them so I'm more comfortable doing them reference-free.... but it's really good to know you used reference. You are human after all. And yeah, the pic wouldn't be the same with big ole manfeet on the end of her legs hehehe

Your work is just amazing, Dave! Such incredible details...the veins, the little wrinkles in the outfits, the shiny satin inside the bunny ears...not to mention all the anatomical correctness! I wish I had an ounce of your ability to draw the human form...something I've never quite mastered without having lots of references to look at.
The bunny-girls are stunning...love the expression on the one in white, I can probably guess a few of the things that are going through her head as she gazes at the man! Love the Carrot of Doom...lol
I guess I could have summed all this up with one word...FANTASTIC!!!
