How fast is your space ship no.8, Spaceballsβ¦. and Jupiter 2 from Lost in Space as well I guess. At the risk of losing any geek cred I may have garnered, I had never seen Spaceballs until recently, but I certainly had fun drawing/painting this one.
Pencil, ink on paper, paint in photoshop.

Also: I never actually paid attention to the underside of Spaceball 1, but does it really have the giant coffee cup, toaster, tennis racket/balls, etc ect? lol

No, those are my personal additions... but I'm sure they wouldn't have looked out of place in the actual movie

Toast, coffee (I assume), an iron (do they still make those?), a tennis racquet...Β more than enough to get them to plaid speed.Β To be honest, this is the only movie I ever walked out on, and it was on a flight.Β I think it was the "jam the radar" with real jam that put it on that nextΒ level (lower) for me.Β In spaceΒ no oneΒ can't hear you scream... but you could hear me groan.
Thanks for the JupiterΒ 2 but I was hoping to see what you'd do with their tinfoil spacesuits (well, first few episodes I think...)Β

I'm guessing its one of those movies that you have to watch at the right time in your life... I never saw it until very recently, so I have no 'emotional attachment' to it. I found it a strange mix of heavy handed over worked 'jokes' (eg the jam) along with some genuinely inspired gags.
And yes, I put the Jupiter 2 in there for you... but I've never seen any episodes, so there wasn't much else I could do with it.

Never saw Lost in Space?Β It was on when I was a kid so it really only has nostalgia going for it... and a couple catchy opening themes... and a cool spaceship... and a nifty robot... and Judy Robinson (Marta Kristen) in tinfoil.
I'm old enough to have seen the original Star Wars in a theater without a parent OR guardian and Spaceballs came out a full four years after Return of the Jedi.Β I was about all Star Wars, Star Wars-like, and Star Wars parodied out.Β Seeing it wasn't my idea.

Another great choice for how fast is your spaceship. Would've like to have seen Lone Starr and his Winnebago, but really like all the in jokes you've managed to cram in to the drawing.
