Inspector Blakey from the series of paintings for the upcoming On the Buses DVD box set. Painted in the same manner as the 'Arthur' piece, though the pencils were much more detailed on this one.Related content

O.K. Dave. I don't know who this guy is. But it's wonderful done. As an old fan of the Paul Hogan Show...in Germany the title was "Da lacht das KΓ€ngeruh"

Its the dimples on the chin that finish me off because it seems like you were looking at overweight bikini clad beauties for reference - thigh area obviously.
His expression seems to show he's not that impressed with the talent you found on the beach!

I did go nuts on his chin - not so much from any reference I had, but because my brush seemed to want to go there, and I like to follow my muse on these things!

I'm doing the six main characters Stan, Blakey, Arthur, Olive, mum and the conductor, whos name eludes me at the moment, plus one other generic lass. Fun job!

Seeing this art of yours brought back a lot of happy memories watching this programme all those years ago, they were all great characters.
I do miss all those great British "sit-coms"
