Description
For , second winner of 'chase down some Hermann Mejia Mad issues for me' deal.He asked for 'Pride and Prejudice' as his movie for his lovely missus.
6 hours of viewing later
Ended up a strange mixture of cartoon and portraiture and I'm not sure I was quite successful with either but the characters are fairly recognisable so all is not lost!
Pencil sketch, tinted in photoshop.

Fabulous caricature! Instantly recognisable, but well exaggerated. I especially like what you've done to the Bennett sisters in the inset panel. Thank you so much for sharing!

Mostly, she thought Kate's cheeks shoudl have been rounder, but I think it was in keeping with the illustrative style. She still loved it.

Someone could do a whole science on necklines in this time period. The height of a manβs collar is based on some intricate formula combining in wealth, social status, age, and a time constant based on the need to write letters, hunt quail, ride a horse, and glower at guests at dance parties. The depth of a womanβs neckline has something to do with marital status and βtime on the marketβ with the inevitable βOMG Iβm going to be an old maid at 28β multiplication factor.
Iβd say you got the formulas correct but expect a closed-book test on βSense and Sensibilitiesβ.

Kind of a last century take on the modern 'Skirt length theory', though instead of stockmarkets and the economy, its a look at social standing?
The theory may still be relevant - I have little to no collar height and simultaneously have little or no wealth, social status, desire to ride a horse, hunt quail or glower at guests at a dance party. Not sure about my cleavage though

Gladiot In reply to Loopydave [2011-06-03 20:59:05 +0000 UTC]
Well this being modern times you unfortunates without high collars can have an operation to get your neck loweredβ¦ or help with that cleavage thing. Thereβs no more need to be known simply as βthat punctual guy with the great personality that doodles a littleβ. Welcome yourself to the world of βthat guy whoβs chin is buried in his cleavageβ.

No, apparently in this version the Bennet sisters managed to fight them off with a large can of kerosene and a spare flame thrower they found lying in their fathers old shed.
Cheers man!
