Here's the finished sword song piece with background. Fixed the ratio between the rider and the horse for this one! Unfortunately the page dimensions meant I had to crop the horse, still I was happy with the circular motif around her face. pencil sketch, painted in photoshop, about a week.Related content

I saw a little Leyendecker in there....I've been a big fan of his work for man....15 years now...were does the time go.
he's finally got that nice art book out...but I've been collecting his post covers and old ads for coffee etc. for years.

no problem...watch out they can get expensive for certain ones and also depending on the quality...I've gotten pretty down and dirty on a few I really wanted and dropped if I remember correctly...around $89.00 for one before....most you can get for between $15-60...

Yeah, I really should have worked out the proportions properly when I was penciling the illustration. Oh well, we live and learn - or at least I hope I'm doing both!
