Description
My entry for this weeks Trinquette Challenge, organised by the great Alberto Ruiz.Missed the deadline, but thought I'd better post it here as a reminder that space can be a lot more dangerous than you realise.
And requires a far less bulky dress code than previously thought.
Pencil sketch, painted in photoshop.
No astronauts were harmed during the making of this picture.
EDIT: Just thought I'd better explain WHAT the Trinquette challenge is:
the moderator posts a photo which all entrants use as the inspiration/pose for their illustration.
For example:
The amazing Serge Biraults entry : [link]
The Talented Ben Tan's entry: [link] (obviously he likes retro space stuff too

Damn.Β
I wish there are some classes that could teach me how to draw like this. (I only know how to edit pictures together). I wish you could do a Fourth Doctor of Doctor Who picture in a similar style.Β

Tom Baker would be a fun Doctor to draw... who knows, I may draw him yet!

Man, I love this! Space girl is extremely cute, love those long legs! I really like her over the shoulder glance (something sneaking up on her?), and the poor guy running for his life from the monster is awesome!

Thanks Jeff! I'm sure I'd be running from a monster like that too!

Thanks. Its important to have nice lighting in space... there's all sorts of nasty aliens and you have to look good when running away from them

Thanks for the kind words! Make sure you pick your jaw up at some point though... someone might trip over it if you leave it down there. As for the drooling... I'd probably check with a doctor or maybe a dentist on that one
