Description
This was something I did for fun. My all time favorite characters, Spidey and Hulk. As a kid I grew up on the Romita Sr. spider-man, and Romita Sr. Hulk covers, what a treat! Hiis style is so iconic, Big John Buscema was also a favorite. Anyhow , I am in the process of coloring it now, I will post the color version when I am done .Related content

This one reminds me of Sal Buscema the most. I know the differences between Romita and the Buscemas were subtle, but we learnt to read the nuances as we devoured page after page drawn by those masters (Big John is my favorite of that group). Wonderful pic!

Thanks alot. John Buscema was definately my favorite of the group as well. But the team of Kane and Romita was a tough act to follow. You can learn something new from them everyday.

Thank you so much, yeah it is really hard for me to see these characters any other way, i grew up in the 70's and collected all my books in the 70's some in the 80's but mostly in the 70's, this is basicly what i know

cool,... then that's the thing we have in common, I grew up collecting and drawing Spiderman in the 70's also - shoot, I think if it weren't for Spidey, I wouldn't have gotten so interested in being an Artist in the first place !!

the Romita, sr. ones are my favouritest too! i loved the Punisher/Spiderman Crossover with Jiggsaw! And the "Teamup" with Hulk was also in this cheap german reprint-edition i got from 1-penny-store as a kid. absolutely top treatment, Mr.Lopez!

same here. they are like unreachable masterpieces. somehow i also like the Steve DitkoΒ΄s cartoonylike Spiderman a lot, too.
