Well I love this au idea and am very happy to see more of it. I had the thought a while ago that maaaaybe Butch is super repressed (with an angry, heavily denied attraction to Stormy, who is fully aware of it and is a total snarky shit about it to him because of how badly he treated Bruce)
I definitely see Butch and Moony having difficulties as they progress into a relationship, especially with Butch struggling with his sexuality and trying to uphold his masculine image. Maybe trying to put Moony into a female type role in their relationship and Moony not putting up with that toxic crap.
But after some struggles Butch slowly gets his head out of his ass and decides to be brave like Bruce was, and they get to a good place. I definitely love the idea of the two brothers reconciling (though you know Bruce just aint gonna casually let the fact that his bro is dating a pretty dainty unicorn just pass without some revenge teasing)

I like the idea of Butch being super repressed, like so much that he didn't even consider the possibility of being....that way. He's a rough n' tumble, swashbucklin' mare-killer, right? I love the idea of him maybe letting his eyes linger on Stormy a bit too long and his subconscious is like "Hmm. I can almost see why Bruce went gay..."
Butch and Moondancer would have a super rocky start to their relationship, especially once it snowballs from secret shameful meetings to Butch maybe actually developing super uncomfortable and persistent feelings that he refuses to acknowledge. I definitely see him trying to force Moony into a girl's role, possibly even "playfully" referring to him as sheila, or wife. Moony gonna slap him upside the head cuz he is very much a male, thank you very much, and he probably cold shoulders Butch until the stallion is forced to own up to the realities of the situation (and begrudgingly buy Moony apology flowers)
also, i maybe imagined a scene where they're curled up together in Butch's bed for once and Cutthroat walks in on them. There's immediate panic and Butch trying to sort of hide and shield Moony behind him, but Cutthroat mistakes Moony for a mare (stubborn bastard refuses to get the glasses he so badly needs), and claps Butch on the back later, like way to go son, whatta lady-killer

In this au I see Fae as not being as broken as she was in the canon verse. Very much standing up to her husband and oldest son that shes going to be in Bruce's life and she LOVES Stormy. He makes her boy happy and thats all that matters
Later on I can see her being the first Butch comes out to, and his shameful, struggling-not-to-tear up confession is ended by tight, loving, momma hugs. And shes a big part in getting her sons back together.
And in the future I really love the thought of Butch getting overprotective and worried over Bruce after he gets pregnant (he teased at first...but then big brother protective instincts kicked in). And Stormy is just a snarky lil shit brother in law to him, and Butch eventually gets a begrudging affection for the fluffy idiot

I'm a sucker for confident!Fae. XD I headcanon that she probably crushed on a pretty sheila or two back in her day, but she's kept that a secret from her husband. She treats Stormy like a fluffy third son, and Stormy doesn't even faint anymore when she offers him fresh cooked fish (with the head and eyes still on, yum)
aww, overprotective Butch. <3 he'd be such a doting uncle to lil wavey you don't even knooow (even if he sometimes in his excitement gives her gifts inappropriate for a toddler, like boxing gloves, or her very own gutting knife)
Butch probably has an interesting time breaking the news to his family that he's dating a stripper XD He still gets pretty growly and jealous when some of Moony's clients can't keep their grubby hooves to themselves, and Bruce of all ponies likes to rib him when Butch just has to cover Moondancer in possessive scent nuzzles

When I think about it I can only agree with you. The only question is who would try to stop Pandora when her magic would take over her. She seemed so unstable.

Well there could be three options about stopping her.
Her mother Twillight could help her calm her down and she realises that not raising her daughter was a mistake and help her learn to controll her powers.
Discord returns because of some sort of "sensing" his daughter in despair and stopping her. It would also full fill Pandora's wish of seeing and speaking to her father.
I think the best ending would be a mix of both where Twillight tries to stop her and fails that Discord returning and both together are able ot stop Pandora and calm her down. And then they all could reconcidle and could be a happy (as happy as possible) family.
An other option would also be that she becomes more stable by accepting who she is which she could archive by gaining friends ( Cupcake and Moondancer) and learning more about her past.

Moondancer starts to question their(I am using gender neutral pronouns because of the type of headcanon this is) gender as a teen and with Pandora's help Moondancer is able to look more like a mare and end up trying to become a much of a mare as they grow upΒ

I'm normally encouraging with transgender and genderfluid headcanons, but it's important to remember that just because a male likes feminine things, it doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't still identify as male. Men are allowed to be girly.
