Gonna take a wild guess and say he's gonna send her on a dangerous mission to get some rare ass ingredient so he can try and be a unicorn but it ends up putting Equestria in peril and hurting Haywire. XD

Not really, it's not super common but it does happen that ponies are sometimes born with mismatching manes and tails so they just think that she's one of the few exceptions
