some notes on earth ponies, the oft under-appreciated third of ponykind
Earth ponies are the strongest and hardiest of all ponies. They are the most widespread, found in every corner of Equestria, from Appleoosa to the Crystal Empire. They are the most traditional ponies, clinging stubbornly to their ideas of hospitality, honesty, and humility. They may be the doofiest little ponies of all.

Since all the races seem to be able to use magic to some capacity in your verse I'm starting to wonder if there are ponies that just can't use it at all. Something like perhaps Scootaloo can't fly not because her wings are weak but she doesn't have the pegasus magic that helps the rest of them fly.

Scootaloo has undersized wings and little to no pegasus magic. She wouldn't be able to fly even if her wings were big enough. It's possible it has something to do with her having an earth pony father. It's rare, but sometimes things go wrong with a hybrid foal. A pegasus may be born with faulty wings and/or no pegasus magic, a unicorn can be born with a defective horn, or only the power to channel earth pony magic in their hooves. An earth pony foal may be born with unicorn magic (concentrated in the forehead), but no horn to channel it with. Even rarer still, a unicorn and pegasus union may produce a "false alicorn", a pony born with wings and a horn, but not enough magic to use one or both. These are all considered magical disabilities.

Bulk has pegasus magic, unlike Scootaloo. Without magic, no pegasus would be able to fly (their wings are simply too small to lift a heavy horse body), manipulate weather, or walk on clouds. Scootaloo has a trace amount, meaning she can use her tiny wings for a speed boost, and walk on clouds, but actual flight is out of the question. Even Bulk's bulk is almost too much for his teeny wings and magic- he can only just barely stay aloft.

Flurry Heart is a true alicorn, the first of her kind. An alicorn can birth another alicorn, but there's higher odds of it being a pegasus (like Skyla), unicorn, or earth pony.

Well, not all of them. Pinkie Pie is a little chubmuffin. Cheese Sandwich is a scrawny beanpole. I think earth ponies would all have some degree of magical strength, and maybe find it easier to build muscle mass than pegasi or unicorns, but they're not inherently jacked. It depends on one's lifestyle, a buff pony is one that exercises constantly.

Considering that pandora and discord aren't necessarily all pony, can they make other animal sounds aside from typical pony sounds?

Discord can make many, many sounds, since he's made of so many different animals. He can hiss, growl, purr, chirp, chuff, bleat, yodel, and do that screaming goat thing. Pandora can't really make horse sounds, but she can growl, hiss, mew, purr, and roar.

I LOVE these kind of pages/art from you ^3^ it just all makes sense for the ponies along with a lot of just cool unique stuff/info that can branch off from the show.
Also love the idea each group of ponies have magic in them, unicorn with their horns, Pegasus with their wings, and earth with their hooves, I never thought of that and it makes a lot of sense for the show dealing all with friendship is magic XD
