His band had been acting weird lately, and Echo couldn't figure out why. It was as if they were all hiding something from him. Atleast he had them all together now. Well, except for Clover and Lotus who were playing in the forest next to them. He looked over his band, they were all grazing in the shade from the trees, and he let out a slight sigh. Maybe he was just overthinking things? He tried to shake off the feeling as he walked over to his mares to greet them. He passed by Willow first, she didn't lift her head to acknowledge him, instead she turned her ears back with her nose still down against the grass picking up strands. She was opening up to the band, but she still rather not have anyone too close.

A few steps away River was talking with Coral as she was resting in the thick grass. Or rather, River was talking at Coral. Even Coral with the patience of an angel could only take so much of Rivers talking. And in the heat they had been experiencing lately the best way to go about it was just sleep it off. Echo chose, wisely, to not go over there and interrupt River, instead he just gave Coral a smile before turning to look for Cayenne. She was starting to look really pregnant by now. Lotus was with her, curious about the mares stomach as the filly leant her head against the mares belly.

"Hey dad! Have you seen how big Yenne's belly is? It might be twins!" Lotus seemed so excited about Cayennes pregnancy, something Cayenne didn't.
"It's not that big. This is what it should look like" Cayenne looked quickly at Echo, who had a warm smile on his lips, before she quickly avoided his glance. Odd. Echo didn't really have time to think about it, before he noticed that Clover still wasn't around.
"Have you seen Clover?" he asked Lotus who still was a bit hypnotized by the appaloosa mares stomach.
"Uh, no. I couldn't find her so I left."

"Clover!" the stallion had entered the forest and neighed for his mare to answer him. He didn't like this place, there were talks about a savage ghost horse or something that lived here, which was why he had been oppossed to the two going in to play in the forest from the start. Now he had to find his mare, and she wasn't answering his calls. He sighed, she should know better. Just as he was about to call for his mare again, he heard someone break the silence of the forest in the shadows behind him. A chill went through his spine before he quickly turned around with eyes wide open and every muscle in his body ready to run for it.

In front of him stood a horse, pure black with long, strong limbs. She still had the face of a filly, so she wasn't very old. And she smelled of something unfamiliar to him. Almost... human? Was she a pet? He turned his ears back to the scent, but her young beauty pulled him in. What was she doing out here? She stood stunned in front of the stallion, he couldn't figure out if she was scared or relieved to have found an other horse. The two stared at each other for a good moment, before another figure showed up behind the black mare.

"Oh! You've already met! Great!" it was Clovers voice, happy and carefree as always. "This is Freia, she will be joining us!" she said with an assertiveness only she possessed.
