This is an entry I am submitting for the contest, Race of Dreams!

There is a bit of a back story to this drawing so here it goes:
After Enya attended the Race of Dreams ball and Vision appeared, sending each of the contestants to different worlds to prove themselves worthy, Enya found herself in Jamestown. Enya, not one to trust anyone, particularly when they were all trying to reach the same goal as she was - quickly distanced herself from the others, including her two friends Dusk and Lea, who had also been sent to Jamestown.
Tensions grew even more when Enya was separated from several of the other contestants and located the Native American village. There Enya, Lea, and Mia were taken in by the natives and told about the horrible strangers that had come to their shores and were destroying the land. Not so far away, Dusk, Crystal, and Oraiya were being told of the evil and vicious natives that had attacked the settlers while they were searching for gold.
Enya, while wondering where Dusk and the others were, contemplated how such a world was intended to help her have an open mind and learn to trust. Something she struggled with greatly. Finally Enya came to the conclusion, that if she could only open her heart to the idea of trusting the others in her group and becoming their friend, maybe the natives and settlers could do the same.
In the end, through their great struggles, Enya and the rest of the contenders in the Race of Dreams were able to open themselves to the gift of friendship. Not only were they able to forge bonds amongst themselves, but they also made some new connections in Jamestown and brought the settlers and Natives together.
Standing together under Grandmother Willows rustling branches, with the sun shinning, Miko snuggled in her arms, and Flit flying around the group, Enya couldn't help but smile. Seeing the Natives and Settlers together as one, Enya looked at the small group of girls around her - all so different, each with their own story - and the smile grew.
"Maybe..." Enya thought looking up at the sun, "Just maybe, I've finally learned how to trust."
