Description
Hello guys!Made a tutorial to explain my painting method, I hope you will make good use of it!
Feel free to ask anything and also it would be great if you told me your opinion about how it turned out. If you think I missed some important parts, let me know! Get that pen in your hand and draw some nice stuff already!
Check out the finished image in better resolution:
And check out some of my other portrait paintings too:
P. S. I woke up this morning and while having breakfast I checked my DA on my mobile, and I was so surprised when I noticed my work among those beautiful artworks on the homepage. I couldn't believe it, I almost fainted Haha ! Thank you so much for my first DD and thank you all for the positive feedback, I'm happy that so many of you have found it useful! It encourages me to work harder every day and I'm really thankful for that

Thank you! Actually there were a lot of other things I wanted to write about too but it was already longer than I planned, so I guess I will have to make another one that focuses on different aspects that I missed this time

James Gourney explains different light conditions so well and so naturally with everyday examples and a lot of nice illustrations, it's a must read book for artists (and I strongly recommend it for non-astists too). Thank you for commenting, I'm glad you found it useful

It makes me really happy that you found it useful and I thought my English is a bit weird and confusing so it's nice to hear that it's actually understandable.

Well deserved DD. This is a very lovely tutorial. Thank you!
It's not only a tutorial but also a motivation! And I'm very happy you mentioned the canvas size. I spent some time searching for any information about this topic ... but found nothing. Now I know better!

Thanks so much!
I knew I must had to mention that topic as I've been working in really small sizes (1920x1080 as standard) for years until I realized that it's not only bad because I can't make prints of my works but it doesn't provide enough space to bother with details. Pretty strange but I think it's a lot more time consuming to work in a small size as it's so harder to place the details in the right spot. Even a few wrong pixels can have a great impact which is not good.
