Here is another page. Though I think it turned out a little corny, but I could not think of very much panels that would make it flow better. So now you know, Manic gets both the sword and emeralds.Issue 1 [link]

I have a tendency to do that.
And besides that, if Manic isn't going to be of much use between Sonic and Gurthrath, which would be the main fight of the whole series, what's the point in keeping him around? While I suppose that it might help Sonic a little if he cheered, that can easily be fixed if Gurthrath simply took Sonic and himself to another dimension or something so it would just be between the two of them.
