So i know I've been behind on the posts for this and with everything happening lately it's easy to fall behind on anime episodes. but I just to pick a day to post for this series. while i don't think it's necessarily anything different that stands out from what other similar series as this one have done, it's definitely not a bad series either. I just wish it'd stop trying to do that whole "How I met your mother" schtick where the guy is telling the story in the future and while in the manga it's anyone's guess due to there being no color on the pages, the anime does a terrible job of trying to keep things secret cause unless the other sisters died their hair you can already guess it's at least Miku or Itsuki since their hair color are the only 2 that come close to that shade of red and then there's also how while yeah I like how they're quintuplets so giving them unique designs for the anime makes them stand out more as Fraternal Quintuplets where they're gonna have certain similarities but a lot more in different they are in various ways and pretty much destroys that whole illusion in how you could confuse them for each other were as in the manga you have to note their personalities and fashion sense to note the differences which makes it easy to understand how you could confuse them easily by appearance.

anyway point being I gonna be posting again but since the season is almost over or should be over for it cause I lost track I will post later after it ends and like I said while not terrible, it defintely doesn't have much in terms of being something different to stand out where if anything you could argue that Kaguya-sama love is war is the better romantic comedy of these 2 and I'd be lying if I said I don't see why this series didn't grab people's attention because they felt this one is too similar to nisekoi or another harem anime that has a similar set up of girls in how one gets picked over the others and yeah it's easy to see how nisekoi was a bit of an influence for this one and the other issue from what I could tell was turning people away is the animation. it can be beautiful to watch but there are noticeable areas where people noted something off in each episode and accord to some the first blu ray volume didn't do much to improve it either.

so I'll likely be posting more of it maybe next week or the week after. If I had to rate this one now, it's definitely a 3 out 5. not terrible but not too great either and pretty much plays it safe on a lot levels and like I said those moments of flash forwards on the wedding day is definitely not a benefit since you can kinda see the author probably thought the "how I met your mother" story telling trope was still trending and thought would hold but it just ends up giving more away than it needed to. the biggest strength this story has is definitely the Nakano Sisters. there's a few other characters who are fine and the main guy, he's understandable and relatable but definitely not a protag that would seem believable from either a west or east perspective since this feels more like he was based of misaki from kaichou wa maid-sama in terms of his circumstances and we've seen the whole loner guy who's an asshole to everyone but his younger sister trope done to death which isn't terrible but his whole set up could've been a lot better. aside from that the Nakano Sisters as they are in the name of the title do an actual excellent job of being the focus and center and are extremely likeable and all have aspirations in what they wanna do and have problems unique to them, it's also interesting to see how all 5 are academically failures and from both their own ignorance in trying to study or ask for help it's also easy to see how they spoil each other that pretty much make incapable of doing their own studies to pass school. in short it's overly flawed and has a lot of tropes we're already familiar with and would've better without the flash forwards that then cut back to the flashbacks which is what these episodes are pretty much but it does have a lot good character developments for the sisters in how they are unique but do have a strong family bond to look out for each other.
