Big is usually better.Β Β
3x BIG. Big ships, big guns, big air pollution. That's how you subdue peasants and dissidents. Works in every universe.Β Β

Very fitting - we'll see why those vessels should be feared soon enough hopefully!

Nice vehicle work. Golden hour lighting was a swell touch.

Uh, a nice, bulky design, reminiscent of early russian (pre-)Dreadnoughts I think!

These look great, when i think of Destroyers i imagine more a sleek and lethal design, but this ponderous, bulky appearance also works well.

Thanks! With the other factions having a more sleek feel to them, we wanted these to be bulkier (giving the option for some ramming action, maybe?)

The bow feature, plus the starboard side raised area right behind it, kind of give the image of a skeletal fist about to punch the target of the ramming.

WouldnΒ΄t a slim bow be more suitable for ramming?
Like a spear? ItΒ΄s not broad, but pointy.
You are familiar with the Warhammer 40k imperial ships, they have bows made for ramming. Like arrow heads.
But a blunt, hammer-like front does have advantages too.

If you have the mass, or speed, yes. My thinking was, the Battleships have the mass to plow through enemies, as such the slim bow (Like a spear going through). The destroyers however have more of a hammer-shape to them doing a broader damage (maybe targeting areas of the enemy ships), but not having sufficient force behind them for really penetrating the armor.

The spear-bow would amplify the damage, thatΒ΄s why you would want a slim ship for ramming attacks.
A broad front would mean a distribution of the impact force thus lowering the damage to a specific point.
But it would allow one ship to damamge more elements on the surface of the other ship provided they are close enough together.

They flow into the battleships you did. Can see similar design elements.Β
More blunt than the battleships though....

Yes, they are meant to be mass-produced and not show-off like the Battleships! They have only what they need, since they're much smaller than their big counterparts
