Description
This was made for my 117th deviation. Unfotunately another picture took it´s place.It is based upon Michelangelo´s "The Creation of Adam", which is a really stunning piece of art and with a great potential for altering the setting (as I did eventually
)Took about 6-8 hours in total.
Used references for Cortana and the Chief. Made some mistakes with her, for I couldn´t find a whole picture of her, so the signs are wrong.
Personal Interpretation: It is kind of funny, to take a look at this piece and realize, that it symbolizes what I am going through right now, even though it wasn´t meant to. Well, me (the Master Chief) is hold by something close to me, something that is probably part of me and this makes it unable to reach out for... well. No more details, that´s too private then
Oh. And the ring kinda fits too^^So, what do you see in there?

I was considering it both ways, but I decided the Chiefs colors would fit better with the Flood

Ah, that's why you did it. Although, they might look good if you did a second one, keeping the background such as the flood but swithcing their positions, maybe having the Chief on a Forerunner-ish ground. The juxtaposition and contrasting between Cortana's bright colors and the Flood's earthen tones might look good when mirrored by John's dark greens and blacks on a bluish-silver Forerunner construct.

A nice idea indeed. But I have unfortunately no intentions of remaking this piece in the near future. Though other Halo related works are in production/planning

Viel besser als die erste Version, vor allem weil der Chief mehr zur Geltung kommt. Was aber noch gefehlt hätte, wären die Lichter an der Rüstung vom Chief, aber nur so nebenbei ^^.
Das Gesicht von Cortana ist zwar nicht perfekt, aber auch ein Tick besser, wobei sie immer noch einen wenig zu maskulin aussieht. Aber die Nase ist schön ^^

Jaja, Mit Cortanas Gesicht bin ich überhaupt nicht zufrieden, aber mir fehlt nunmal die Übung. Aber mein nächstes Bild wird mir die Übung geben, sagen wir es mal so^^

Very interesting take on "The Creation of Adam"
Since the original is such an eternal painting,I've scene countless artists' versions of it,but I don't think I've ever scene one quite like this.

Wow..so much foreign language here. Anyways...very awesome and I really like the facial expression on Cortana. From the front she would look better though(I imagine) and I think The Master Chief looks kinda weird but the flood-ish part makes it very unique. I've seen something like this, and I like this alot. (faved)

When I´am talking about my works, I usually say "Fantasy is my limit", but what else is fantasy than infinity? I want to break the borders of usual art someday, even if it takes my whole life!
