Very true - and very impressive. The designs are decidedly modern, but - intentional or not - definitely see a touch of classic Masiya in the stub-winged warships.
One question, though. The domes at the bow: Are those emission ports for spinal weapons, launch tubes/silos for strategic weapons, or something different altogether?

Oh yes. While I am a big fan of spinal mounts, "something different" was the answer I hoped for. Nothing quite puts the fear of deep space into one as having something undefined but hostile pointed in your direction.

As usual with space themed pictures it's ahrd to judge the size but they look pretty neat. Turrets dorsal and ventral, some but not overly much detail on them.
Are that weapon pods at the flanks?

And yeah, those are meant to be weaponry, though I want to upgrade those models sometime to give them more visible weapons like turrets, torpedo shafts and missile-silos
