The ricasso would make half-swording tricky, but balance of the weapon is so high that Heartscalibur weapon effectively serves as a war-axe.

I don't think he would ever need to half-sword. The skill of shoving the blade through tiny gaps in armor seems pretty redundant when everyone is just dressed in kinky bondage latex and leather anyways.

Interesting design but the shape would put the balance point somewhere in the front third of the blade. By having a fuller down it's center to decrease weight as well as the tang lengthened to more of a two-handed size could fix that. The open heart design would also focus all the stress at the narrow hilt. But as a pure fantasy weapon it looks amazing ^_^
