Lore: "With G.U.N. and the governments of the world keeping a watchful eye on him, Robotnik lays low for a few years after the war, restraining himself from attempting any new plans for world domination. In 2016, though, he shocks the world by announcing his intention to run for president of the United States, with Giovanni da Silva as his vice president. Faced with a choice between the Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, the surprise Republican candidate Donald Trump, and one of the most infamous supervillains in world history, the American public quickly votes Robotnik into office by a landslide. Shortly after his election and in spite of heavy resistance from Congress, President Robotnik begins a series of industrial and infrastructural reform programs to transform the United States into an unrivaled technological superpower."
