Oh sure, your facts can be as accurate as you want them to be. I don't care what you believe, but don't go around calling my argument stupid. You can't read another species' body language any more accurately than another member of your species, which means that it's your idea. Maybe you were influenced by other people who've 'studied' it, but that doesn't change the fact that no cow ever came out and told you you were right.

"You can't read another species' body language any more accurately than another member of your species, which means that it's your idea" oh yes i can

a dog shows you their teeth? eveybody knows what that means
they hide their tail? You know what that means

if you can't read a bull's body language then you shoulnd't speak about something you don't know

Oh, so you're a farmer? Gee, how do you get to spend so much time on the internet during early harvest?

Please stop, just stop. I'll stop too, but I think you're wrong and you won't change my mind, and you think I'm wrong and you won't change your mind, so this argument is futile.

what the fuck
i'm not a farmer, but i'm around cattle every week, i have been around cattle since i was a kid, i have helped my cousins to take care of the cattle since i could walk and i know about cattle

just
don't speak if you don't know what you are talking about

are you sure bulls are not harmed during this "games"? I wouldn't.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

LordGuardian In reply to StormFedeR [2013-06-04 11:26:17 +0000 UTC]

Yes I am pretty sure, this is a non-bloody tradition. There is no physical violence towards the animal (except making it run). I even have never seen a course where they forced the bull to run, they merely tease him. Sometimes if the bull is just tired or bored and stands around without 'attacking' the round just ends prematurely and another one is brought in. After the games the animals are brought back to there pastures. (Yes i have seen that too)

StormFedeR In reply to LordGuardian [2013-06-04 12:11:33 +0000 UTC]

Well if that's the case I'd wish this replaces the tauromaquia on countries it still remains.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LordGuardian In reply to StormFedeR [2013-08-15 12:29:35 +0000 UTC]

that would surely be nice, although i don't think it will happen soon ...furthermore as the bull breeds used for bullfighting are much bulkier, bigger and stronger, but would tire very fast in a contest like this.

Still there are more and more alternative forms to bullfights cropping up slowly where the animals are no longer killed, as people want to cling to their traditions but see the pressure that is put on them or just realise themselves that what they are doing is cruel... (portuguese bullfights, a form where the bull is not killed but merely exhausted for example show up in spain and france)

be 100% sure that they harmed, physically and and mentally

AND they are going to get killed in the future, anyways

they use the excuse of "they are not killed here" to justify abuse

These comments on "Animal abuse" Are very annoying. As the artist stated, no bulls were harmed, or hurt. In fact, all there ding is making the bull run.
Is that different then riding a horse and making it gallop? Sure, the animals a tad annoyed, yes, but annoyance doesn't hurt someone. Whoopee, annoyed for a a few moments, then your back in the pasture.

I don't see why people bitch about this, yet dont bitch on dog fighting pictures, cock fighting, or even horse fighting? You see that here too, but...

👍: 0 ⏩: 3

LordGuardian In reply to RainUndead [2013-08-15 11:47:02 +0000 UTC]

Thank you for your comment. Yes I agree with you.

Of course animal abuse is a serious topic and I in no way support that, but i think sometimes people just jump to conclusions or get very personal and vocal before thinking.

I don't think this is worse than people keeping a cat in a tiny apartment or driving horses to exhaustion in races or other sports.

It is very difficult to make a clear line between what is ok and what not sigh

have a nice day

you clearly have no idea about bullfights

RainUndead In reply to Canis-Infernalis [2013-05-28 13:49:34 +0000 UTC]

Oh I do. Killed after, ect. But your rather, well. Goimg on about bullfighting and fighting with all the people on here, when it doesn't even benefit you? Your going on about this when the artist has no control over what happens, AMD when this particular picture has nothing to do with it. Go whine on an actual bullfighting picture with blood and gore. It's pathetic, making you seem like some PETA activist, who attacks anything there against.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Canis-Infernalis In reply to RainUndead [2013-05-28 13:57:20 +0000 UTC]

excuse you, but this picture actually has blood, look at it before commenting
and even if it didn't have blood, it would still be abuse

"making you seem like some PETA activist" is that supposed to be an insult

it does actually benefit me, since the first thing people have in mind when you mention you are from spain are bullfights, so yes, it does really benefit me to show people that lots of us are against it.

Also, I keep reading stupid arguments and i feel much better telling people that they are wrong and letting them know why instead of reading things like "they don't suffer!!!111!11!"
so, again, yes, it benefits me

"Oh I do. Killed after, ect." WOW REAL KNOWLEDGE U KNOW A LOT PLEaSE TELL ME MORE YOU WISE PERSON

another stupid argument

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RainUndead In reply to Canis-Infernalis [2013-05-28 14:30:07 +0000 UTC]

Right. * they are beaten to be pissed off, zapped, hit, smacked, beat. Neck sliced open, ect.

Regardless, this particular deviation has nothing to do with it yet tour making a big deal. A little bit of blood. Yes, ever seen racehorses? Hey bleed from there nose all the time. Infact, alot of athletes do.

Im bot pro bullfighting or some shit. But raging on this deviation that shows no abuse doesn't help your case and makes you loom stupid.

And yes. PETA was a slight insult as peta is insane bastards.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Canis-Infernalis In reply to RainUndead [2013-05-28 14:35:23 +0000 UTC]

the difference is that athletes choose to do sports by themselves, they are not FORCED to do it

yes it does show abuse
i don't really care if it makes me "loom" stupid, you look stupid to me by talking about things you clearly have no idea about, but you are free to argue with me

i'm also free to tell people that this is abuse

you have to look for better insults then

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RainUndead In reply to Canis-Infernalis [2013-05-28 14:41:35 +0000 UTC]

Making an animal run is abuse omg every horse in the word is being abused!!?!

No but srsly. I can look at a video of racehorses and say it relates to horse slaughter. The connection is there, but it's irrelevant to the actual topic. Such as saying this is bullfighting, when its not the "lets make the bull bloody and angry and attack with knives " type.

Honestly your just here looking for an argument. Makes you look kinda pathetic.

And well, id hate to be called peta. Peta is a stupid organization.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Canis-Infernalis In reply to RainUndead [2013-05-28 14:48:16 +0000 UTC]

i never said horses weren't abused ?????

but we are not talking about horses

separating a gregarious animal from their herd is abuse
not letting them escape from an stresful situation is abuse
he is bleeding, pretty sure something BAD happened to him (hello, abuse)

of course i'm looking for an argument! I'm the one correcting people, i expect nothing less than an answer (note, arguments are not a bad thing! "argument" doesn't equal "fight")

Like i said, i don't mind looking pathetic, you look pathetic (and ignorant) by saying that this is not abuse

I don't really mind insults, to be honest. So if you think that relating me to peta or whatever you come up with is going to offend me, i'm sorry to disappoint you but it's not, specially if i know that I am right and that you are wrong (not an opinion, just a fact. Stressing animals is abuse)

RainUndead In reply to Canis-Infernalis [2013-05-28 18:18:42 +0000 UTC]

An opinion can't be wrong, hun. Good try though.

Replying to every comment correcting people shows your out for attention. You could easily keep things to yourself, instead of attacking every person that disagrees with you. Thats true stupidity right there.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Canis-Infernalis In reply to RainUndead [2013-05-28 18:49:53 +0000 UTC]

the problem is that it's NOT an opinion, it's a FACT

dear lord can't you understand what i'm saying
" instead of attacking every person that disagrees with you"
no
i don't mind if they disagree with me
but the problem is that they are wrong
it's like saying that dogs meow, it's not my opinion, it's the truth that they don't meow

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RainUndead In reply to Canis-Infernalis [2013-05-28 20:04:15 +0000 UTC]

Saying dogs bark is common knowledge. But something as biased as bullfighting, yes, it will be an opinion. Correcting them, shwoimgthem what's "Right" is like some fucked up cult..against bullfighting.

ThsI is why I hate eco terrorists. Can't even debate calmly, can't not start arguments, can't hold themselves back, and all and all, look likeassholes..

Is that blood coming out of the bulls nose?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LordGuardian In reply to Cookiewing [2013-06-04 11:30:56 +0000 UTC]

Yes, there is. He probably got nosebleed from running, as physical activity and can sometimes cause it (faster heart rate/higher blood pressure making the mucosa bleed) If it reassures you, the bull was not hurt, there was no violence applied towards this animal except making it run. I was there for the whole 15-20 minutes the animal was in the arena, i saw him come in and i saw him go out again. I even saw them brought back to their pastures

LordGuardian In reply to Cookiewing [2013-08-15 12:11:59 +0000 UTC]

No, they don't use blades or anything in this game (except some kind of hook or comb attached to the human participants hand to help catch the trophies ...but they are not there to hurt the animal)
