Another quickie from the experimental .gif folder. This time focusing on a Castlevania-inspired game Yours truly may or may not keep working on this year.

A potential prequel for the Shinigal project, this game sees one of the previous work's important side-characters, Demon Lord Berlin, in his own quest of strengthening his position as one of the Rulers of Makai when challenged by a new villain from within his home world.

As it is obviously noticeable at this point, the original inspiration came from the last Castlevania for the old NES; Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, and might end up very similar-looking game. Fans of the series might recognize the spritework has been modified from two characters here, recolored and edited to suit for the appearance of the original character. You might even expect him to throw a fire ball or two, but that won't exactly be happening here, heh!

Version 1.1 edit added the new frame to the final to give the player a badass look while the intro stops and the actual game begins.

The .gif was resized for your viewing pleasure. The actual animation in-game will be quarter the size seen here.
