Between the characters' names, their fashion sense, their physical traits, and the overall setting, this reminds me very strongly of Rita Mordio from Tales of Vesperia.......

It's just that this book was one of the most awakening and shocking experiences I had as a teen.
But still the book itself can be viewed in many different ways.
