Next one is on Gambit...I actually really dug the original design, the coat is a great visual when he did all his acrobatic stunts. For this redesign, I focused on the thief aspect of his background. I tried to retain aspects of his original suit while giving him a more cat burglar type look. I even added a pouch to carry his playing cards for those long boring nights staking out targets. Alas, I had to leave out his trademark coat, but I will come to terms with that eventually...

Fantastique! I never really liked Gambit's old outfit, so I'm glad you gave him a new one. And I adore the burglar angle. Most people completely forget or ignore that part of him.

The new desgn looks pretty cool and hey, you can just say this is his theifing outfit, he can always wear the coat out on the street... cause you know... he would probably stand out a bit walking around dressed like that.

Why not do something similar to what they did for Neo in the later Matrix films... That outfit still had a stealth feel to it, but allowed for all that dynamic action when he flew.

I hear you... I also felt though that since I went with the thief angle, a long flowing coat might accidentally trip off some alarms

Well, If we're to keep in mind the trip wires/lasers or what have you, you could shorten the coat to about the knee level. Although, That might make it look like he's wearing a skirt, and that would be silly. Heh.

I actually played around with giving him something like that and yeah...It def looked like a skirt and just didn't have the dramatic pizazz the long coat had...
