Turkish Mythology: Bürküt AtaBürküt Ata - The Eagle is God in Turkish, Altaic and Mongolian mythologies. Burkut (Merküt, Markut, Mörküt, Börkit, Börköt, Bürgid). The Mongols are called Bürgüd Ece or Bürged Ecege. Also known as Kartal Ata and Hotoy Ete in Sakalar.
