I'm well aware of that, but I am the type of guy who wants to know more, I wanted to know about the history, that sense, but you did not really explain everything, did you?

My guess for Turkey is that it did not become zealous, and the Turks did not migrate to Anatolia. Byzantium survived intact until the events of the First World War, and it appears Quebec and Newfoundland are independant. As for the rest, I do not know how it turned out.

I think the Byzantine Empire could easily have been able to hold on to Syria.
