A little gift forThis is his character Misery, a drow duelist/fighter/rogue/swashbuckler (not necessarily in that order). He has used my character Maz in so many of his chibis, I thought I would return the favor.
The details are based on descriptions in ~miserythedrow 's stories and several artists' renditions of him.
The overal concept of this piece started when I realized I put his sword in the wrong hand and was too lazy to fix it. Instead this is Misery looking at himself in a really worn mirror while probably on a dungeon crawl/adventure of some kind. He is taking a second to look at his own reflection and whether he likes it or not is a different story.
Misery belongs to ~miserythedrow , I'm just playing with him for a moment.

Well ya know, I'm kind of glad ya put the sword in the wrong hand because I just love the look of the stone walls and the cracked and worn mirror. It frames the picture so well and just gives it a nice feel. It's nice when mistakes end up working out to your advantage isn't it?
Oh, and I agree with Misery, your anatomy in this pic is drastically improved. Face is great, collar bone/neck area look nice, torso...all of it. Awesome job.

Thanks. It's good do hear someone thinks my drawing is getting better because drawing is something I like doing that I'm not that great at so getting better at it is a bit of an ego boost.

Honestly though, I love it for two reasons. 1) It's just TEH MISERY!! And that alone makes it cool. However 2) As I said before and this is more proof, with every try you seem to be realing fine tuning your art side of things. Your faces especially have really chiseled themselves out and becoming more defined. I love it and thank you so much for the gift ^_^
