An homage to an old All-Star Squadron comic by DC, using some of your fellow Deviant Artists' greatest original characters!.I have tried to credit all with their OC's correctly, let me know if i screwed up!
's Purple Sentinel, 's The Fowl and 's Fuck-Man thumb through photos of potential heroes with whom to team-up!

What would you Call a group of OC DA heros? I've kicked it around and come up with: 'the Deviant Hero Society' or DHS. But that might piss off the Department of Homeland Security.

I say, the DHS deserves to be pissed off! Umm...I have thought of this as well since I have done quite a few DA OC hero shots. I like DHS. Of course being an older comics fan like myself I know you are aware of all the possible words.
Squad...Legion...League...Gang...Crew, etc.

Or it could be just a name- like The Deviants. but that sounds weird. All the good names have been taken- Avengers, Defenders, Revengers, etc.

You know, that would be cool, but believe it or not, most people either just say "thanks" or nothing at all. Which is fine, I just get such a huge kick when people take an interest in my characters, I figured some of them might be more flattered. Oh well.

I know that it's a homage to All-Star, but I couldn't help but think of an issue of JLA - in the most recent series, Batman, Supes and WW are all going through potential recruits for the new league, yaying or naying different candidates. I can just see that happening here.
Man, that would be some kick-ass team these guys'd put together.

I SHIT YOU NOT. He takes on Daken in a fight that was brutal, even by MY standards. Daken slices his throat open, monologues for a minute, then DECAPITATES FRANK.
These little goblin things are seen gathering his remains, then run in to the sewer with them, being chased by HAMMER agents.
Just as they're closing on them, MAN-THING looms up and sets them both on fire with his Fear induced fire stuff.
The next few pages show Frank's remains being rewired a la Frankenstein.
Marvel have done some massive, universe changing stuff, and I have NO IDEA (Other than Mephisto *giggle*) how they can change it back.
Also, remember in the meeting of the evil Illuminati, Osbourne said he had a "friend" that EVERYONE was shit scared of? Well, it wasn't Sentry like we all thought.
It was an old villain by the name "Molecule Man"..... And in the most recent Dark Avengers, he's seen, on a throne, with Mephisto, The fiery head guy from Doc Strange, The BEYONDER and others cowering before him.

Ok, I'm gunna have to do this in number format, other wise - I'll forget where I am.
1) Punisher's Execution: It was in the most recent Punisher title (NOT the Marvel MAX title). I can't remember the number, but the cover is by JR jr., and has Frank crouched, sliced up like Swiss Cheese, and Daken standing behind him with his claws out. It's more awesome than it sounds. It was a Punisher issue, just so you know.
2) I can honestly say that I haven't seen Man-Thing since reading a reprint of Spidey in the 90's. So his appearance made me giggle like a school girl at a Milly Cyrus concert.
3) Spidey: I stopped reading Spiderman after that storyline. I mean. I collected it religiously until then. HOWEVER. I got my friend into Marvel, and he collects Spidey now; and every story SINCE that story has been pretty good. BLACK CAT'S BACK!!! So I MIGHT start buying it again. Although the rest of the world don't know who Spidey is, he recently revealed to the rest of the Secret Avengers his identity, so it's not COMPLETELY lame.
4) The List is a one-shot mini series; HOWEVER, every title that's effected has "Dark Reign" stamped across the top. Which is pretty much EVERY title in the Marvel U.
5)Not sure about Volcana... :S The original Secret War was actually, believe it or not, before my time - and one of the only things Marvel that my obscure knowledge does not cover (I fail, sorry); but yeah, there is a MASSIVE two page spread with Osbourne in front of Molecule Man in the most recent issue of Dark Avengers, and there are some BIG names cowering in front of him. Not just Big names, but BIG guns as well - the dude that smacked down the Beyonder working with Ozzy?! Only time will tell what his stake in the Dark Reign is. But I can't see how the Heroes have ANY hope against a guy that can rearrange the UNIVERSE ITSELF.

Unless, of course, the heroes had, say, another hero that could rearrange the universe. Maybe someone that HAS in the past, rewritten reality..... Someone who hasn't been seen for awhile. As in, House of M............
(BTW - Check out the front cover of the most recent X-Force issue - it's got a red background - and the tagline that Marvel are using for it. I saw it and practically screamed, laughed, and wet myself like a puppy. I'll give you a clue, it's a mock-up of a movie poster from the 80's - see if you can figure out which film......)

2)You know after you told me this, I was googling around and saw an old team-up issue with Manny and Iron Man vs Molecule MAn!! I never had that one but on a whim it made me think Manny might've beat Molecule Man there and they are using him to stop the current MM?
3) Yeah a friend of mine lets me read his too every once in a while. Spidey's always fun to read in or out of continuity.
4)That's what I figured. I will have to get the LIST mini then.
5) Okay, I looked that up and it was on wikipedia. The other guy that we both though was Dormammu is actually Zarathos...the original Ghost Rider's spirit of vengeance! AHH! Out of left field!

Yeah, I guess the Fantastic Four is the most likely candidate to fight of Molecule Man.
Scarlet Witch is a good guess. Others could be Dr. Strange (or Brother Voodoo?), Apocalypse? Galactus?

Mayhap he did - but MM can rearrange the very fabric of time and space; and the only person I can think of that couldcombat that (that isn't dead/alive/adead/alive, yes I mean Jean!) is Wanda Maximoff. However, you're right - Reed may be able to come up with something. (Apocalypse is sorta dead at the minute, if memory serves, though he played a MASSIVE part i the most Recent Messiah War (Cable/X-Force cross-over).
OMG - ZARATHOS?! REALLY?! Jesus, that's waaaaay more obscure than I would have imagined.... Bendis is getting very interesting (Also, if you get the chance, have a look at (Can't remember what the story was called now) "Utopia X", or something like that - the Dark Avengers vs X-Men, X-Force, etc. Emma went in to Sentry's head and let loose the Void. He wasn't making it up like we all thought.....)

Holy crap! I actually have been finding some you tube videos where folks are kindly editing different books to watch. I actually read the one with Emma letting someone out of an enclosed room! I was racking my brain to figure it out! That was SENTRY!! Awesome!

Yep - It was a room she created to keep Bob safe from "The Void" waaaaaaaaaaaay back in the first New Avengers story arc - during Sentry's first appearence. Nobody actually believed that the void was real - but, judging from the giant black mass that chases a tearful Sentry into space, I'd say Bob was telling the truth all along!
