that and im having to add watermarks to my stuff (797 images and art), its a lot of trouble but im halfway done.....and it means im not going to be selling large prints but this internet world has changed they treat the internet as bad as they do the planet, people post things and steal things regardless of whether the images have copyrights on it or not and they junk up the internet so bad its like one giant image garbage dump all over the world, i mean one image is pretty but a billion webpages with the same image is not... and noone knows who the original image belongs to just like a garbage dump...i believe there are way too many photo kleptos out there lol just like hoarders....

Yeah I often wonder what the deal is with people who make accounts on here and just favorite a bunch of things but never post any of their own stuff. I'm considering going back and watermarking my old things as well when I get the chance. Would be nice if anyone could use the dA watermark without a subscription.

shoot even with the da watermark i still find facebook pages with images from deviant art on them with the da logo still on it,
www.facebook.com/pages/Fairies… do you recognize any of the images on this persons page all of them are stolen from somewhere....but you know i guess it dont bother most people but what i hate is that there are billions of free tutorials, free software, and help to make everyone a better artist why use what is already out there..if it werent for gimp, apophysis, and the gimp and photoshop tutorials id be lost

I don't know that I'd call that stealing per say. It seems more like an art sharing blog. It looks like they do credit the artists sometimes, although they should really be doing it all the time. As long as the name is on it I don't see an issue.
I started watermarking things, but I have seen kids steal things with watermarks on them like character sheets, then rename the characters and pass them off as their own - even though the actual artist's watermark is still on it!!! Sad but I don't think there is an end to stopping theft totally. Guess it'll make it a little better if your name is on it, but then what if they start pretending to be you.
