Those rainbow coloured beads on her are really beautiful! I love the hair and the posing this way.
The shading/colours are so soft too.

That is truly amazing. The coloring and shading is incredible. I love the expresion on her face, and the hair looks so cool. The only thing I can see wrong with it is that I think the ear might be just a tad to far forward, but it's still really great!

I used colored outlines for the whole thing, but I ended up having to darken them so it didn't really help anyway. Right now it only really works for black hair, I'm trying to figure out how to do it for other colors...
I laid down the darkest color first.
Then on a seperate layer I used I think it was like a size 1 brush and just drew in a bunch of lighter strands. I took the dodge and burn tool to it to get that shiny look.
Then on a 3rd layer I added the outer strands to make it look less perfect.

Very nice. The best thing of this picture? It's a darksong who doesn't wear all black! I don't think I've ever seen that before. Very nice, though, I like it. ^_^

I like black, but I like red too. And I think they compliment each other so well.

It's just something they end up doing. They're all scouts of course, so black makes sense for stealth purposes, but it's not the only color one could wear to blend in. ^_^
