A big thank-you to Tasastock for their stocks Penguin 9 and Penguin 11 , which gave a lot impact into developing the idea,
to ArwenArts for the beautiful background stock SUNSET STOCK and
to NefaroStock for the stock that helped me to get the waterline a little better penguin 4

This is the birthday gift for my big brother, it is acrylics on canvas. He loves penguins and as I searched through dA stocks I found the one with the penguin directly below the water line. Somehow the songtext line "if these wings could fly" from Wings by Birdy came into my mind and the idea developed.

I would guess the time on ca. six to seven hours, it is relatively big. Actually, the plan was to finish it early in the morning (have not so much time atm so I wanted to stand up early), but I got home late and could not sleep at all, so I decided at four o' clock to rather use my time, stood up and finished the painting and finally went to bed seven a.m.
