i started this a long time ago and i didn't have much more to do, so i decided to finish it. i really love how it turned out. <3there's a lot of reasons i drew this picture, i'm not sad or anything, nor was i sad at the time i drew this, but i know a few people will get the reasons behind this picture. <3

Might you share how you got the glow sticks to relaly look like they're glowing? I'm trying to get a simiar effect for a picture I'm working on... not much luck though. If you cn help I'd gladly mention you for the help when I finish teh pic.

oh, sure. xD <3 a lot of people ask for that. it's simple, really.
the easiest way to get a glow effect like that is when you're completely done with your picture and want to add the glow, merge everything to the bottom layer. (make sure you don't forget anything, or you're in trouble.) then make another layer, or go to layer 1 (depends on what program) and set the opacity down to about 200, or whatever looks good when you fill the top layer. then take the eraser tool and set it to soft (or just put the opacity down) and then smudge around the area that you want to glow. :3 voila.

i usually do it on oekaki (full opacity is 255), i don't know the differences between the opacities on the programs, but i think 20 may be a bit too low? or maybe not.

I'm working with PhotoShop CS3. 20 was a bit low but I set the opactiy to around 56 and then set the opacity of the eraser to around 56 or lower (that way it takes several times of going over an area to erase it fully). Turne out very nice. thankyou for teh help and I will mention you in teh update fo teh pic I'm using it on.

I was able to figure it out because of the picture. It all comes together nicely. The glow, the dark, the scattered memoirs. Jeeze, ChipZ, you're really improving. This isn't just a canine like I see everywhere, it's a fully function peice of art. c:

well, there's a lot to it. i have friends in cape cod, one who moved to florida that are all very dear to me. i haven't seen him in two years, and i rarely get to see the other friends unless its in the summer. i also missed when we were all little kids thought our campground was huge, and it was great to be able to go wherever without permission. now, everyone can do that and there's really no thrill to that. xD that's sorta funny, but i liked that. now i can go downtown alone with friends whenever, as long as i ask.. 8D;
mmhm then there's some online friends.. who just haven't really been in touch with me. <3; and there's a lot more, represented through most of the stuff in the picture. xD;

...I know what you mean. There's a lot i've remembered... For example, there's a children's book I once borrowed from a friend a long time ago. I wanted to return it, but she had moved to Mexico by the time I remembered, so... Now I'm simply keeping the book for memories.
