No silly. It is a bag of CASHEWS! It is a type of nut. However, some are alergic to some nuts, (say penuts), but not other nuts, like cashews. Since factories handle different nuts with the same machines, traces of different nuts get into another. Thus, someone not alergic to cashews but to other nuts needs to know this bag more than likely contains traces of the nuts an the person is alergic too. Its all for avoiding law suits...

People with allergies to nuts are generally allergic to all types of nuts, not just one or two specific types. Thus, the warning is stupid. Anyone who is allergic to nuts and eats cashews, DESERVES to die.
