Portrait Study (Brush work)

I painted a couple more still lifes and i wanted to apply all that brushwork pratice into my work, so i decided to paint a portrait keeping in mind brush economy.

I used Ahmed Aldoori rough bristle brush for the entire piece! I think it gave a really cool painterly vibe, but i still have a lot to learn 😅. Its difficult to control and i cant just smudge everything to hell with the smooth watercolor brush like i was doing before 😂😂.

I'm also trying to incorporate more colors into my paintings, tried to add some reds and blues to her skin in places that would make sense. Still look very shy though.. well i guess it will get better with pratice.

Overall i rly liked this painting! Had a lot of fun learning from it!
