Nyssa was really finding it hard even to melt the thin sheets of copper they were given. A lot of the other students seemed to be having no problems, though, so she approached one of them to ask for a little advice. Even when she tried her hardest, it felt like the best she could do was get her hands to above room temperature, little more than using the first week's ability. By the end of the week, after asking other students and Ms. Netty for advice each day, she was able to get the copper to melt just a little bit - not enough to completely melt a whole sheet, just a little off the edges, but that was enough for her for now. Not like she was really looking to melt metals in everyday life, anyway.
