Description
Samarium is a metal used in strong magnets. Samarium isn't fond of the irony of his name.

After a small chat in the group discord, I started doing some brainstorming and some drawing, and now, here's my lightning-struck magnet boy! I don't think the science is very sound at all, but tbh, I really like his character.

He used to be a rowdy, proud SkyWing soldier who fit in well with his platoon, but on a dare he flew out into a lightning storm in full armor, and he ended up with a bunch of scars, some melted metal on his scales, and some powers that are mostly a curse.

He kind of constantly generates a small but strong electromagnetic field now - get near him and you'll probably get a static shock, but if you touch him all you'll probably have to worry about is the initial shock. It doesn't make it any less pleasant, though. the air around him is literally electric! thanks to that, he also attracts a lot of jewelry and other small metal things by accident, and he often has to return a lot of accidentally stolen jewelry. He also breathes lightning instead of fire now (since lightning is just superheated air, hotter than fire), but it's murder on his throat so he just doesn't do that unless he's in some kind of life-threatening situation (which he never really is as a disabled skywing, staying in the palace a lot now that he doesn't have anything better to do).

he's still kind of too proud for his own good and stubborn about what he can and can't do, but after what happened he's still kind of messed up - he can't fly as long as he used to and his voice is kind of croaky, among other things. he hates admitting anything to anybody and doesn't really try to make any friends, quite the opposite, in fact, staying to himself, but he eventually ends up getting a few of them because they stick by him after their first encounters, and he just can't seem to shake them.
