Belladonna was born to a single mother, Lillie Grover, who had conceived her with one of her male gro friends, despite them not being together. As soon as she was able to go out on her own, Donna had an adventurous streak as a wyngling, always nosing her way around Wynsiph. She wormed her way into several friend groups, including that of Chester and Maple, and grew most attached to that one, dragging them along with her sometimes to bother the village shopkeeps.

She treated her little outings as very serious adventures, but it wasn't long before she had to stop to stay home to take care of her mother, who grew sick during the winter. She was growing into her quad legs by the time her mother passed, and she was able to get a job as a helper to the village gardener. It wasn't the most ideal job for her, since she had grown to hate everything about the sun-shiny outdoors when she was taking care of her mother, but with his help, she grew to love it again. In the process, she grew to love him as a father figure, and learned how to reconnect to others through him, picking back up her old friendship with Maple, Chester, and her other friends. She also learned earth magic through him to help with her new job, though at first she'd never shown any interest in magic.

Once the old gardener passed away, Donna began to single-handedly take up the care and keeping of all of the pockets of flowers and greenery within the village limits, making everything look pretty. She didn't seem to care if it looked pretty as much as she did that the plants were happy, even enrolling in not one, but two of Ms. Netty's classes to learn water magic to help with their upkeep. They helped her feel better, so she helped them with the same, making her rounds about the village and seemingly talking to herself as she checked on each individual plant. She's been doing this for years now, and doesn't plan to stop until she absolutely can't keep going anymore.

PERSONALITY

Though Donna insists that she's never wanted to leave Wynsiph, she once held hopes of seeing all of the sights their world had to offer, and she takes every opportunity she can to ask those who're from outside its bounds about what it's like. She no longer has any personal taste for adventure, but her curiosity doesn't seem so easily sated. She has a tendency to hide her genuine emotions, whether they're good or bad, and just about the only way to ever hear her laugh is to show her a funny-looking puckoo, like, a really funny one. Her stubbornness has caused her to bump heads with more than one other gro, which was the cause for her eventual "rivalry" with Gulch. She never has trouble getting up and going in the mornings, and seems to run out of energy only when she's just laying down to sleep, with nearly all the time in between spent on her work.

i had a pretty in-depth story for this lady but i wanted to simplify it for contest purposes :'D I hope it's all still good!
(i was so stuck between making her either brown or pink tbh but when i was looking at npcs there are so many brown ones and not any pink ones so i was like "hmmmmmmm lets go pink")
