Description Comments for improvement very welcome. Thanks.
I was just walking near my house and the sun made this little place really nice...nothing special, but I've decided to put it on anyway...

This is amazing the way it is! What I like about it is your composition, and good balance between lights and darks. Thank you for your comment.

Lovely shot, the light and colours are beautiful It would be nice if the sky wasnt blown out, but I guess it wouldnt be easy to do without blending shots!

no problem, I'd imagine its too white to fix unless you have other exposures!

Hi, Lori !!

This is a fantastic photo, I love the shade the sun leaves on the wall And the tree showing those white leaves looks so romantic !

I read Jonathan's comment about the horizon and I had the same perception, so I did some tests trying to find why I was having that feeling.
If you make full view and place the browser upper bar lined up with the balcony grate or the bottom, the horizontal line is slightly (1 mm) shifted down on the right side. If you do the same with the floor, you get a similar view. (Tell me if you noticed it now).

The windows is very pretty and so interesting!! You should take advantage of it further, by all means
Since you are asking for suggestions, why don't you try a different angle, namely shooting by standing a bit on the right of the window instead of standing in front of it ? I would love to see the result. If this is near your house, you for sure will have a chance to do that again the next time the sun dyes it with the same shading

Another good thing to try would be laying on the floor (if you have enough distance) and take the shot from the bottom up, showing more floor and the whole window. I am very curious about how something like that would be

Do you think that would be possible ?

M.

Wow, thanks so much for your constructive comment. I really like this.
I will try it out, but I don't know if it will be possible...but maybe it could.... I will have to go for another walk and try that out...
Thanks ones again for your help.

I kind of like the lopsidedness of the arch.

It makes it look handmade. Like a work of art, or labor of love or something.

Everything here in America is all perfect, straight lined, perfection.

There's no character.

The imperfections of the construction, and the warmness of the colors, give this photo a lot of character.

Makes me wish I was standing right there, feeling the warm breeze on my face.

The beautiful warming evening light really kicks this shot up Lori
I thought it was leaning slightly to the right and was gonna suggest a little straighten, but maybe that`s just the impression of the slightly lop sided arch..or maybe my ageing eyeballs

Thanks my dear...
I have line it before I put it here, but I also think it gives you that kind of impression...the one who was building it...was not good...
Your eyes are just fine....you are still young...but I'm blind like a mole
