Description
Something I found in my unfinished folder. This time it's Colin Morgan as Merlin. It was already two thirds done, but until now I never got around to finish it. I think it must have been lying there for almost two years, so it's no surprise the reference pic is a promo shot from the end of series one.graphite pencils (2B, 4B, 8B)
And this time I'm more satisfied with the likeness of Colin Morgan than with my other drawing:

Most of it is just exercise. Drawing and drawing and doing it again and again, especially when something doesn't look quite right at the first try. There are also some great tutorials here on dA where you can get tips and tricks for your drawings.
