These masks are awesome, Lori! The Houston Museum of Natural Science is hosting the exhibit Samurai: The Way of the Warrior until 13 September 2015 that I would like to take Seth to. I hope they have some masks like these there. Your photos are gorgeous but I imagine seeing them in person must have been awe-inspiring.

Oh your exhibit sounds exciting you should definitely bring Seth to see it, you both will probably love it. When Michelle and I saw the Samurai exhibit here in Los Angeles we both had a wonderful time. It was so interesting seeing a piece of history right up close and in such good condition.

It was wonderful, I took my daughter and we both loved it. Someone on DA said that this exhibit is touring to other museums across the country.

Yes they had a real flair for the dramatic and ornamental. They managed to incorporate art into their everyday lives, not like we do with everything being made mass produced and not made to last. It seems like nobody takes pride in what they make anymore.
