I went to a formal wedding on New Year's eve. I was waiting in line for a drink at the reception with my camera down at my side, when this mime came over, stuck his face in front of the lens and i snapped a pic, while the cam was still near my knee. He was so impressed at my "sieze the moment" attitude (and he liked the pic), he wanted to do head shots as well as other conceptual ideas with me.Many ideas flew to mind, but i really wanted to capture a Beckettian sense of emptiness and lonliness....as i become more into the art thing, i seem to slip into this void often and without avail...and it is I that cannot use words to speak of this solitude.

Definitely one of my favorites ever seen on deviantart. Everything about it is perfect. the angle, the scale...if he wasn't a mime it wouldn't have the same affect, but as it was I adored it.

I like the vastness of everything around him. He's not standing tall, kind of crouched in a ball... which helps to emphisize that. Its great.. to me its kind of showing how we can get lost in ourselves sometimes.. nice job. I like the tones

oh my gosh, that is one of the most beautiful photos I've seen in a long time. I adore the pose, the scale...everything about it conveys the message of being alone and small. It's such an amazingly perfect shot, it makes me want to cry.

This is so brilliant. I like how everything else is so huge and enormous and he is just this little thing in the corner compared to everything else.
And the sepia tone gives it so much ambience and melancholy! Haven't seen a picture as touching as this.

I agree, this is a wonderful photo. The vast airy confines and the oppresive weight of the granite speaks volumes of the invisible box he is doomed to be traped in. I must admit that I too have dabbled in the dark arts
