beautiful, put together immaculately - my only complaint is that it's not bigger
i really like the coloration, the misty overcast quality of the atmosphere, and the way the snaking line of the edge of the cornrows bisects the scene from foreground to background and from left to right.
you've got a great eye and a lot of talent, keep it up.

Beautifull, but I can't completely agree with your main comment, because man made it like that, not nature.
But you are right that nature evokes (our ) loneliness: it gets us naked and reveals everything.

I am trully speechless with this shot... Composition is just about perfect, the horizontal (yet moving) line of corn with the vertical tree in the background...
I don't like the border though... It just doesn't seem right on this shot.

that's crazy.. I've tried so many times to get a good shot of the corn field.. and I couldn't wait til I got my digicam to start taking more.. I love this, though! something I've tried to capture..

it's amazing how the corn is so close to the tree and so prolific, yet the tree is still... solitary.
