People have asked me why I don't do too many self-portraits anymore...there are alot of reasons. And they ask me why the ones that I have always cover part of my face....this, i guess is a security blanket.
So in order to break from the norm, here is a exposing self-portrait...no fancy clothes, makeup or props to hide behind...just me...flaws and all.

I'm sure you've heard it all before at this point in regards to this picture, Lorraine, but if you can stand one more ----
I really like the simplicity of this shot, and how nice it turned out should be a testament to how hard it is to make shots like this look good. It might seem easy, but I don't think it's ever simple to get one of these, but that could be me and my equipment. I also really like the duality that's going on here, where you are obviously vulnerable in your nakedness, but you seem so strong at the same time as well. As if one situation causes the other. It's awesome, and I really like this in your gallery.

flaws i say are beautiful in their own way...and when they are yours they make them een better...you and your work are amazeing...truly beautiful...i see no flaws..and the flaws we have remind us of our past or what has become of us even if they are bad or good they all have storys..

the beauty of nature is in its imperfections. you may not realize how beautiful you are until you step away from the masks, the shields or barriers that you put up around you.
the cliche is that everything is in the eye of the beholder.

Btw, I love the expression on this piece, I can almost feel the " you wanna see my face, fine! here's my face, happy?" hehe to which I think most have responded,(and I won't differ.) What a lovely visage. Nice image with excellent as usual contrast. Nice pout to your expression. I usually like images like this to be bereft of makeup to truely expose the person in the image. Some water drops on the skin would have also been interesting. Great self portrait.

I know how hard it can be to shake negative thoughts about yourself -- after all, I'm a quadriplegic neat-freak with Cerebral Palsy, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder (i.e. Manic Depression) and skin as only befits a Frenchman: that is, oily as fuck -- and I'm having a hell of a time with it! *lol*
On the other hand, you should bear in mind that someone's always worse off than you, eh? Without all of the interesting peculiarities that exist in the human race, we would be driven mad by our similarities ... anyways, whenever you're feeling down, remember that there's a Canadian cripple rooting for you

As a Jersey person livin next door basicly, i gotta say Philly aint ever seen nothin. Thats an awsome self shot, ur flaws are none, a perfect face is hard to find. I think i found one that i can say is wonderous. Great Job and dont be modest
