I love the energy of this shot....quirkiness and humor are two of my favorite things to capture or create in photos....The technical details of this shot were fun....I couldn't have done it without Greg, my studio manager and umbrella model, Kristen, the other model and Justin, my assistant....
High production can be so much fun!!!! ...but it can also be a serious pain in the ass.

I love this.
It is a perfect capture and its effectiveness is only heightened by it being in black and white.
I love the way it is an umbrella that is floating away and pulling them with it. They always seem so magical and mysterious when used in photography.
This photo seems so classic, yet so original.

The absurd and surreal situation is what really fascinates me about this picture. Its fine, indeed and it gets even better by the great composition and balance. And the contraste between foreground and background. Especially the man with the umbrella.
There is also a deeper meaning in this picture, I think, with this free and flying man, and the woman with the purse.

Im sure youve gotten this like a million times already but this seriously made me think of Mary Poppins.
The man and woman looks like theyre going out on a date, humour being that the man doesnt have a car:
woman: lets go, wheres your car?
man: car? *opens umbrella....what car?

By the way, how did you make it as if the guy is flying off? did you use like pulleys and ropes or anything like that? Im really interested in photography tricks and all and it would be amazing if you explained how you did this
