Hm. First off, I'd just like to say I love this drawing. You definitely feel the emotion put into this, however, it is open to interpretation (I spelled that wrong, I know I did. Oops lol). I like that alot about this drawing.
What I see is a girl trying to catch up to her father, but she's always just out of reach. She's want's comfort, to grab that hand, but it's always just that much too far away. But she hopes and dreams of catching up to him and she still has time, considering how young she is here. She has room to grow. But she doesn't see that at present--she only thinks about grabbing that hand.
(My imagination can run off with me sometimes heh) It's a lovely drawing, it truly is. I love art that is totally open for interpretation of the viewers.

that's beautiful ^.^ thank you for taking the time and writing something.
There are two interpretations I knew I would get over time, and that is now I intended it. Yours was nice melding of the two, which I find surprising, but a pleasant one all the same. I am so glad you could see that. Thank you!
(as for spelling, ha! You are better then I! I cheat with spell check...)

Aloha ,
What I see in your pic is love and safety. It's good that the child has someone she can ran to and find comfort.

I love this picture, it has the heart and the soul inside it. The only thing I would even think of is that the background could need more detail, but it looks prefect.

I decided on not background for two simple reason. First, and most honest reason, is I couldn't think of one. The other (and after thought)is I didn't want to take away from what was going on so i really stopped thinking about a background at that point.
I'm getting into backgrounds a little more now. It's slow work, but it's coming ^.^!

sorry for the late reply
We are rather emotional, particerly us females. But our God is a logical God meaning there is some straight forms to things.
now listen to me ^.^;; I rant.
I hope you enjoy what you see! I am working on character designs at the moment. Nothing too greatly interesting, but I hope that changes soon

My thoughts on this is it depicts perfectly how I feel about myself, with the Lord, my Heavenly Father. There are many times that I have felt the joy in my heart where it was like I was running to Him like a child with His outstretched hand to me. Especially after those times I felt like I disappointed Him. I can understand the child's joy in running to Him expectant that he will take her hand and guide her along. Lift her up, laugh with her, take pleasure in her and she with Him, carry her on His shoulders like a Father would. It is playful and happy, and there is nothing to mar it, just pure innocence and fun.
To me it is of a love transcending understanding from God to the girl, and from within her heart feeling it towards her Father. It speaks to me of the freeing excitement, passion and joy that being with the Father brings about in one of His children's heart. It is supreme love and joy to me.

I cant tell if shes scared and running for her daddy's hand for him leaving or for his protection... or if shes just glad to see him. Itd help more if i knew the background.
Lovely picture, all the same <3

It is such a familiar image, I can remember being so small that when Iβd lose my fatherβs hand I would have to run with everything I have to catch up with his giant strides. Itβs like us, as Godβs children, weβve let go of His hand and we have to run hands out stretched, calling His name. We concentrate everything on Him and catching up. When we do He picks us up into His arms and carries us home.
It's beautiful, it just makes me all fuzzy inside!
Thank you.

This reminds me of a little girl running after her daddy. Like he has to go somewhere and do something suddenly, but she's not ready to have him leave because she loves him so much. So she's running after him, telling him she wants to come no matter where he's going. Kinda like us running after God and loving him so much we'll go with him wherever he wants us to go and we know that because he's our perfect dad, everything will be ok. Maybe that's what the large hand means to me. Because you know her hand will fit perfectly and safely in it, just like God keeps us in his hand. Great work.

I love the urgency on the little girl's face as she's running to catch up. It's an urgency but there is such a joy at attaining his hand. I think it really captures our running when we see God's hand, when He looks over to us and says "come on, little one! come walk with me!". And so this next part can be reading too much into it, but there is a little flower beside the girl and it made me think of how we can be distracted by so much, but how all of our attention is captivated by His Presence.
Anyways, love this piece.

It isn't clear to me how the girl is feeling, but she clearly desires to hold the hand of God (that's my interpretation due to the sense of scale). I disagree with one of the comments concerning a particular group of people because most human experiences are universal despite the differences in culture. All human beings have some spiritual void to fill.

Nothing really. I might have been reading too much into things because it could have just a mere interpretation and nothing else...sorry about that.
