Southshore will be destroyed in Cataclysm
I heard speculations that Durnholde Keep will be turned into a horde fortress, while in exchange Stromgarde would be restored into power. -would be cool.

I've heard similar rumblings. I'm personally hoping that Alterac, rather than Stromgarde gets restored.

Alterac was destroyed in the second war, long before the Scourge revaged Lordaeron, so that's a bit unlikely.

While it *WAS* destroyed in the second war, a Perenolde heir still lives. Not to mention that Daval Prestor was said to have hailed from Alterac...with Deathwing coming back in Cataclysm, his alias may "re-emerge" as he tries to regain a foothold control over the Human kingdoms.
...it's a long shot, but I loves me some Alterac.
