Finished this little kestrel wood burning, but I feel its needs a boarder or something like that yet to make it feel more complete. Any ideas?This piece is still AVAILABLE for purchase.

I think it's the way it cuts off flat on the bottom that makes it feel a little unbalanced, but I still really like it!

Yeah maybe filling out the rest of the bird in will help, I just left it blankΒ in the chance I was going to make a boarder.

I think the bottom looks like it stops a little suddenly since the wood is curved, but the bottom of the kestrel is pretty much a straight line. Maybe do a boarder and try to extend the kestrel all the way to the bottom so it touches the boarder?

Thanks, I got a new wood burner for my birthday, it makes shading much easier.
Yeah, I think I will extend the kestrel body down a bit more and see how that looks.
