Description
WIP of my old unicorn character that you've never seen.EDITEDIT:added some texture, deeper shadows, and other accents. What do you guys think?
Chaska means "morning star" in ancient Incan.
Love comments/criticism!!

The reason I said cat is simple. I know you have seen a cat jump from something high up. The pose is almost identical to that of a cat about to land. I can see deer in the body to but, unicorns are mythical, I thought you here referring to real world influences. either way I still don't like this image very much but I know you'll work your magic.

She looks nice, but as you said, she's definitely a WIP. Need a bit more definition. Hey, that reminds me... have you checked out Losmios's tutorials? [link] You might find them helpful.
Oh, and just because people are sticklers for this, always make sure you have the credit for the lineart on there. The mob mentality against thieves on this site is bloodthirsty and I don't want to see you getting harassed by the overzealous because you forgot. D:

Definition as in a bit more emphasis on the shadows and highlights, some muscle definition perhaps.
I like the subtle yellow color on her head/neck and front legs.

and I'm glad you noticed the yellow, I was worried it might be lost. But if you look at swans, their heads and necks are usually cream rather than white so I thought I would emphasis. Her head is really bugging me, it just looks really alien.

Haha I was going to mention that the mane and tail look like feathers as opposed to hair.

I like the image, it's kinda bland. there is plenty of movement and the color is done well along with the lineart. But the over all pose and 2d look just don't do it for me. It's not bad work just not my taste. It looks like it was modeled of a cat or wolf type of form. the wild tail and slim body lean towards a cat but it also feels very dog like.the face markings remind me of a badger almost. but not sure about that one. it's a nice piece but leaves a little to be desired(great for concept)

^^ This body style is actually very typical of Unicorns here on DA and other places, as well as folklore.
Personally, i like to lean more towards the hart/deer body, because I think it's more unique, and runs along with more legends. Just not quite up to making my own lineart yet. I altered the head a little from the original lineart, and have now scrapped the original mane and tail.
